1997-'98: Hit the 20+-goal mark for the fifth time in his career. Was second on the team in goals, assists, and points with 29-37=66 totals and 42 PIM in 82 games. Had the third-highest shooting percentage in the NHL at 20.1%. Had 12 multiple-point games, Had 12 multiple-point games, including a career-high five-point night Mar. 14 vs. the NY Rangers. One of five Bruins to play in every game.
Career: Is in his ninth pro season. Boston is his third NHL team, as he has also played for Washington and Los Angeles. Played three seasons with Sokol Kiev of the Soviet Elite League. Was the youngest player ever allowed to leave the Soviet Union to join the NHL when he signed with the Capitals in December, 1990.
