1995-96 season Dimitri Khristich was traded to "Kings". In his first season as a King he was named the club's most valuable player. Playing on the first line with Wayne Gretzky and Vitali Yachmenev, Dimitri Khristich led the club in 27 goals and 37 assists in his 76 games.
      1996-97 season Dimitri Khristich topped the team in points with 56 (19 goals and 37 assists) and played his first All-Star Game on January 18, 1997 in San Jose.
