Sokol Kiev, his hometown hockey club. Khristich still shows loyalty and interest in his former team, a club once part of the powerful Soviet Elite League. It was there that Khristich spent his three and half seasons, scoring 50 goals in 154 games between 1987 and 1991.
      "Hockey in my hometown is dying. It's been dying for a long time now. When I played there, the govermment supported the sport" Khristich said.
